James Sensenig, ND (In Memoriam)

Dr. Sensenig practiced naturopathic medicine for over forty years and was well-known for helping thousands of people regain their health. Dr. Sensenig saw patients with complaints of all kinds, and was particularly interested in the treatment of digestive diseases, headaches and migraine, joint and muscle complaints, and chronic fatigue. He also saw children with health problems ranging from asthma and eczema to developmental delays and autism.

Dr. Sensenig graduated from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon where he later served as Dean of Education. He was the founding President of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, the Chairman of its Government Affairs Committee for a decade, and the founding Dean of the College of Naturopathic Medicine at the University of Bridgeport (Connecticut). He was instrumental in the creation of the Council on Naturopathic Medical Education, the Institute for Natural Medicine and the Naturopathic Medicine Institute.  

Dr. Sensenig consulted for a number of government agencies, insurances companies, colleges and natural products companies. He was on the faculty of the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona and the University of Bridgeport, College of Naturopathic Medicine.
